Oct. 12 Near Senate Square: Snallygaster!
Snallygaster tends to sell out every year (VIP tickets are already gone), and for good reason. Its organizers compile a roster of the best domestic and international breweries—more than 150 of them—and then bring them all to one place, Pennsylvania Ave, for one huge blowout. Snallygaster’s 2019 installment is coming up quickly on October 12th, so snag a general admission ticket ($50) while they last.
Unlike previous years, you won’t need any tasting tickets to partake in the suds once you’re past the gates. Your ticket grants you access to unlimited tastings of the brews from 2 to 6 p.m., and you’ll need all four hours to even make a small dent in the list of beers on tap. After all, the breweries will be pouring more than 400 of them! As you slowly sip your way through the array, make sure you take breaks every now and then to enjoy some hot bites from local food trucks (which is pay-as-you-go) and enjoy live music.
